Everybody can be great. Because anybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You don't have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don't have to know Einstein's Theory of Relativity to serve. You don't have to know the Second Theory of Thermodynamics in Physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.

Listening is a rare happening among human beings.

You cannot listen to the word another is speaking if you are pre-occupied with your appearance or with impressing the other, or are trying to decide what you are going to say when the other stops talking, or are debating about whether or not what is being said is true r relevant or agreeable.

Such matters have their place, but only after listening to the word as the word is being uttered.

Listening is a primitive art of love in which a person gives himself to another's word, making himself accessible and vulnerable to that word.

Integrity is nothing hidden, being truthful and honest, doing complete work, working from an empowering context, an doing very well what you do, doing it as it was meant to be done or better, and without cutting corners.

In other words, HONORING ONE'S WORD (doing what you know to do, doing what you said you would do and on time, doing what others would expect you to do even if you haven't said that you would do it, and saying when you are not dong this as soon as you realize that you won't be doing it, or won't be doing it on time).

To excel is to continually perform. Not for a moment or moments. Not for a day or for days. But to perform day after day, month after month, and make that uncommon performance look commonplace. To excel is to take the inner drive of competition and not only embrace it, but master it.It is no wonder that when one truly excels, one is known for excellence. It cannot be bought or legislated or willed into existence. It must come from the depths of an individual's desire to be the best.

I must admit that I personally measure success in terms of the contributions an individual makes to her or his fellow human beings.

You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of.
You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life.

In order to swim one takes off all one's clothes--in order to aspire to the truth one must undress in a far more inward sense, divest oneself of all one's inward clothes, of thoughts, conceptions, selfishness etc., before one is sufficiently naked.

Man is the only animal for whom his own existence is a problem which he has to solve.

Always be a first rate version of yourself, instead of a second rate version of somebody else.

If you obey all the rules, you'll miss all the fun.
